Creating Healthy Habits in the Home - It starts with YOU!

How do you create healthy habits in the home?

It starts with YOU!

One of my favorite ways to de-stress and exercise - riding my bike around town!

Our children look up to us. If we are leading an unhealthy lifestyle, they will follow suite. Likewise if we are leading a healthy lifestyle.

Here are a few ways I'm trying to take better care of me this year:

I exercise. No excuses. Yoga is my go-to exercise and I finally purchased a membership at a local studio. I walk or ride my bike when I can, bringing my kids along for the ride. 

I eat healthy. No excuses. I start each day with a healthy breakfast - Stonyfield Whole Milk Greek Yogurt mixed with fresh fruit that I get delivered from Door to Door Organics. I take time to eat a healthy lunch at work - no skipping! At home, we cook and eat dinner together as a family.

I use healthy, natural skin and body care products. Tom's of Maine is one of my go-to brands, offering everything from toothpaste to deodorant, Tom's have made themselves known as the authority on eco-friendly personal care products. I take time out to de-stress. It might sound indulgent, but I enjoy a 60-minute weekly reflexology massage. This is my moment of the week to completely de-stress and give my body a little love.
