Summer Read Suggestion: This Too Shall Pass by Milena Busquets

I have always dedicated lazy summer afternoons to reading. This summer, I am committing to reading at least three chapters a day. I hope to catch up on the reading I've set aside for sweeping the porch, emptying the dishwasher and garden weed-pulling. I'm going to make reading a delightful summer "chore".

Here's a book I've already indulged in. Even the cover says summer to me!

This Too Shall Pass by Milena Busquets is the story of of a woman who is forced to deal with loss, life and love as she confronts the death of her mother and an uncertain, foggy future. Shaken by her mother's day and entering her 40's, this is a woman who has lost sight of her self-identity.

I love the surrounding scenery of this book - it takes place in Spain - and despite the cultural divide, I related to this woman who juggled two sons, two ex-husbands, and two best friends. Spending the summer in a gorgeous seaside location helps her find her way, while also making this a great summer read.

Be sure to add This Too Shall Pass by Milena Busquets to your summer reading list today!
