Fueling Myself for the Marathon of Life! #spon #StonyfieldSuperFan

Disclosure: This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own.

While I don't run marathons, every day of my life is like a marathon. From the moment I wake up to the moment the sun goes down, I'm on the go go go.

Mornings are the most challenging part of my day. I have to get myself ready for work, pack three lunches, and get my two kids off to school. And then, when the Chicago spring permits, I hop on my bike and ride off to work - 4 miles each day!

With such a busy schedule, I need to start my day with a healthy, protein packed breakfast. My solution: Stonyfield Plain Organic Nonfat Greek Yogurt. It's simple, rich and delicious. I can add just a few toppings and I'm good to go. With a whopping 15 grams of protein per serving, it gives my body the fuel it needs to win the busy day marathon.

Some of my favorite yogurt toppings are....
  • Chocolate chips, walnuts, and fresh cherries
  • Coconut flakes and homemade granola
  • Fresh applesauce and walnuts
  • Almonds, Oats, and Fresh Blueberries

Fittingly, Stonyfield is the official yogurt sponsor of the 2014 Boston Marathon. They're sending 10 runners who just missed the cut off due to this year's large amount of sign ups, they're handing out hundreds of thousands of cups of organic yogurt on race day - to runners, their families, volunteers, etc
- and they're giving away a bunch of healthy living themed prizes including a year long gym membership on the day of the marathon - all you need to do is tweet or instagram #StonyfieldSuperFan
As Gary Hirsherg, Stonyfield co-founder explained, “Like the members of Team Stonyfield, we felt compelled to participate in this year’s race to show our deep love and support for the city of Boston and New England community."
