Celebrating All Things Disney at Our #DisneySide Home Party!

Disclosure: I received products free of charge to host a #DisneySide Celebration. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.

Our Family's #DisneySide

For our family, Disney World really is the happiest place on Earth.

As a little girl, Disney World was just plain magical to me: I really thought that the characters walking around were actual characters (and not costumed people)! I really thought Cinderalla lived in her castle! I truly believed that the Haunted Mansion was haunted!

These days, while visiting Disney World as a parent, I see the magic though my children's eyes - and it's just as delightful. On our last trip to Disney World, my kids literally had smiles plastered on their faces throughout the trip!

Our trips to Disney are even more special because my parents, as well as my sister and her family, always join us. Together, we laugh until we cry, we scream on the roller coasters  and roam around the parks, making memories along the way. I remember how fun it was to travel with my cousins as a child, and now my kids, too, have a blast with their cousins by their side.

Disney is a place where all of us can enjoy the magic of childhood and the fun of Disney, together, as a family.

What is a #DisneySide @Home Celebration?

Disney Parks 2014 theme is Show Your Disney Side. When MomSelect and Disney Parks chose me to host a  #DisneySide celebration, I jumped at the chance! We received an American Tourister suitcase filled with Disney party goodies. My kids were delighted to open up our new suitcase!

Our party!

Since we are planning an upcoming trip to Disney, we gathered our extended family and friends - everyone who will be joining us on our escape to Orlando - to celebrate and plan our trip!

My daughter, age 4, just adored setting up all the Disney decor! She set the table all by herself - making sure that everyone wore a Pluto sticker!

We played Disney Trivia while enjoying a fun Mexican-themed dinner. We also asked Chiara, age 4, to decide which Disney character each member of our family most resembles. We howled with laughter when she told Grandpa he looked like The Beast, her uncle, Prince Charming, and her brother, Goofy. She picked Cinderella for me!

We also spent some time during our party to plan for our upcoming Disney visit. We've already booked our hotel (the Grand Floridian), but still needed to decide which parks we would spend out days at and when, so we could proceed with purchasing our park passes. We also talked about the rides we don't want to miss for the world - for me that's Pirates of the Caribbean, for my daughter it's Winnie the Pooh, for my son...Tower of Terror! - as well as the restaurants we want to be sure to reserve (my favorite is Boma at Animal Kingdom!).

Anyone Can Throw a #DisneySide Celebration!

Visit the DisneySide Celebrations website to get ideas and start planning your own #DisneySide Celebration! Also, make sure to order your own Disney Vacation Planning DVD, which offers great insight into the parks and properties, so you can make the most of your trip.

I'm so thankful for the many Disney moments celebrated with our entire family, and can't wait to make more in 2014!
